On a quiet stretch of Kentucky backroads, I caught a single beam of sunlight breaking through heavy clouds above the empty road ahead. It felt like a sign, not a grand revelation, but a gentle reminder: even a small break in the clouds lets the light through. Real change rarely arrives as a sudden event. It builds quietly, like compound interest. You don’t get rich overnight, and you don’t transform your life in a day.
I experienced this during my cross-country bike ride. The 3,649 miles didn’t happen all at once. It was one mile, then another, then another. The distance grew simply because I kept moving forward. My motto became: "It doesn't matter how fast I'm going, as long as my wheels are moving forward". The same is true for the Weekly Spark. It began with a single post on February 24, 2025. Each week since has been another small addition, gradually building something larger than the sum of its parts. Small steps often seem insignificant in the moment, but over time, they stack up into something substantial. Whether it’s a mile, a sentence, or a single break in the clouds, the power lies in showing up until the light comes through. Somewhere out there is your first mile. Make it today.
