Do You Remember When?It is amazing how quickly things change. One day you are looking at a late-season landscape, and the next, a sudden shift brings a completely new perspective. This photo from Eagle Island State Park in Eagle, Idaho, is a perfect example. These plants were quickly covered by a sudden snowfall, showing how fast the weather and the landscape can change. That theme of changing times hit home recently while watching the news coverage of Alan Jackson’s final concert appearance. Watching that milestone online while listening to Remember When from my playlist was a moving experience. He has so many songs with lyrics that are incredibly powerful and true to life. Remember When isn't a sad song; it’s a positive look at a long, full journey and the milestones along the way. It simply makes you stop and think about how the chapters of our lives naturally transition from one phase to the next. Life moves fast, but change is just a natural part of the journey. Every shift is an opportunity to look ahead to what is next while appreciating where we are right now. The seasons of life will always keep moving. The best we can do is appreciate the current moment and look forward to the next chapter. Do you have a favorite Alan Jackson song, or a story-driven track from another artist that always hits home for you?
