Each week I seem to come across a comment or quote, then I dig through thousands of photos I've taken over the years until I find the one that speaks to it. That's often how the Weekly Spark comes together. This week was no different. I heard a phrase I can't shake: “You’re stronger than the moment you're facing". It took me back to a rafting trip in Idaho with my son, years ago. We didn't have experience or expertise, but we wanted to do it. So we went for it. We found a local outfit with guides who knew the river, and we just showed up with a desire to try something new together.
And it was awesome. The water was fast, the ride was wild, and we loved every second of it. Sure, the river kept us on our toes. But the guides knew what they were doing, and we trusted them. We paddled, we laughed, and we came out the other side with a memory I'll never forget. That's the thing about chasing something you've always wanted to try. You don't have to be the expert. You don't have to have it all figured out. You just have to show up and go for it. Especially when you get to do it with family. You’re stronger than the moment you're facing. And you don't have to face it alone. Comments are closed.
